Ornamental Pine

I created this card using the stamp set ornamental pine.  Very simple and clean.  I used old olive and soft suede.  Tied a little burlap on the bottom and I was done.  This may be my Christmas card this year.  Thanks for stopping in and Happy Stamping!

Endless Wishes

I was surfing the net the other day and came across a You Tube video by Teri Pocock from the UK.  She showed how to make this this triangular box.  I had to give it a try and this is what I came up with.

I used a few dies from the Snowflake card Thinlits set.  I wanted the snowflake and the word snow to look like it was chip board.  I die cut three or so and stacked on top of each other.  Here is a tip, use wax paper in between the paper and the die.  I can't tell you how many I damaged trying to get the paper form the die. Once I added the wax paper much easier.  I used crumb cake card stock and stamped the snowflakes with crumb cake ink.  I used baked brown sugar and very vanilla for the embellishment.  I added a little twine I had so it could be hung on the tree.

Here's what the box looks like when it's open.  Thanks for stopping in and Happy Stamping!

Monkey around

I fell in love with this digital image from Tiddly Inks, it's called Monkey Around.  I colored it using my copic markers.  I finally broke out the air brush system that I had picked up, that goes along with the markers.  Still need some practice the picture may not show it but the blue back ground has some spots.

Sweet Stuff

I learned how to take two separate stamps and put them together to look like one.  You have to do some masking, and removing some ink.  I first inked up the candle but removed the ink at the bottom.  To make it look as if it was stuck in the frosting.  I then masked it off and then stamped the cup cake.  I was happy with how it turned out.

Sweet Stuff

So I'm following along with the same stamp set by stampin up.  I added the grass at the bottom by flicking my marker up to look like grass.  I'm very happy how it turned out.

You're Sweet

So I have given myself another challenge.  when I purchase a stamp set I have to use more than one image out of the set.  If I can't find a way to use more than one, I won't buy it.  This is another card that came from the stamp set Sweet Stuff by Stampin Up!

I don't have any girls in my house but couldn't help but do a card in pink and green.

Sweet Stuff

WOW! things have been busy around here.  Baseball has come to a close, we just have a few tournaments for the youngest one.  Didn't have to much  free time to make any cards.  So I finally made some time and this is one of the cards I made.  The funny thing about this card, I wasn't crazy about it.  I colored it any way.  I'm very happy how it turned out.

picture frame

I had bought this die cut and wasn't really sure what I was going to us it for.  On the same shopping trip I had picked up this stamp.  It's an American Art Stamp.  I had made some envelopes the day before and was picking up and had the idea to create a card using the scraps of paper and the new items.
I colored it using my copic markers.

Birthday

So I had to make a birthday card this morning in 15 minutes for my youngest son.  I have done this ninja guy before.  But this time I decided to cut him out an pop him up.  Now the difficult thing was his arms.  So I  just drew them in. I liked the way he turned out.

water color

MIA: I can't believe how busy life can be.  Making time for everything can be a challenge when you don't want to miss the little things with your children.
I made this card with ink from Stampin up I used Marina Mist, Pacific Point and Gumball Green.  I put some ink on my craft mat and added water.  I did have to use water color paper.  Once I was happy with the amount of water I laid the paper in the ink and moved it around.  I would tap off any extra water, and then would use my heat tool.  I continued doing the same thing until I was happy with the out come.  I did realize something about myself while doing this.  I don't like to get dirty....I must not have been a kid to play in the mud.  I knew it would wash but I still wore gloves...lol

life in the forest

So I really love the animals in the stamp set Life in the Forest.  I scanned one and made it a mirror image.  I colored in the grass and the sky with ink.  I need to work on making clouds.  I think that would have made a big difference in the card.  Over all I'm happy with it.

Love you to the Moon

This stamp comes from the set called Love you to the Moon, from stampin up.  I added the bakers twin at the end, I think if I were to make another one I would leave off the heart and pearls.  Over all happy with the way it came out.

Love you to the moon

This has been a crazy day.  I wasn't tiered last night at bed time (11:30 pm), but still fell asleep, only to wake at 2:30am.  As I lay there trying to get back to sleep.  I could tell my restlessness was making my husband stir.  So at 4am I decided to make a card.  Here's what I came up with.  I used gorgeous grunge for the back ground, the rocket part come the stamp set Love you to the moon.  I don't think I will be stamping tonight, early bed time for me...lol

Hershey Nuggets

In the winter I'm relocated and work from a desk in the call center.  The management team are looking for ways to show the staff that they appreciate all that they do.  The conversation was to get candy bars and the clear party bags and there you go. Well I didn't think that was the best ideas.  So over the weekend this is what I came up with.
Very simple construction.  It was made from a 5 1/4 x 8 1/2 piece of paper.  I used the stamp set Gorgeous Grunge and white ink to stamp on the outside of the box.
The inside I used a stamp from It's a wrap occasion, and used old olive ink.  I tied a simple ribbon to keep it closed.  I saw this ideas from Connie Stewart another stampin up demonstrator

Hello Lovely

My goal for 2014 is to blog as frequently as possible.
Now that my boys are getting older I needed to work on birthday cards that are more mature for them to use.  I stamped this one using the stamp sets from Stampin up!
Hello Lovely, Simply Sketched and the Christmas star. I used pumpkin pie, daffodil delight, chocolate chip and old olive.  I was working on color combinations, to get an idea of what colors I liked and worked well together.
I think it turned out ok.

Christmas candy

 Happy New Year!
I realize this is a little late but I thought I would share what I made last minute for the holiday party at work, and I mean the night before.  Here's what I came up with.  I covered this nugget with a snowman face I had downloaded several years ago.  Paper and stamp are from Stampin Up.
The office staff enjoyed them.

Now on to the year 2014.
