Halloween treat

So Halloween is tomorrow, I always make something for the kids to take to their classmates.  My older two are in middle school, so it's not cool!...lol.  This is what I came up with for my youngest.  Very simple.
Happy Halloween!

Festive Flurry

I love to reuse items that I have on hand,  This is an envelope that I cut in half and sponged the edges with Baked Brown Sugar.  I added a belly band using a piece of DSP from Winter Frost and white ribbon.  I stamped 3 of the snow flakes from the Festive Flurry set.  I used Bermuda Bay and Pool Party ink.  I used the framelits to cut the snow flakes. I scored 2 of the layers.  I left the bottom layer flat.  I score every other point on one side and flipped the flake over and scored the other points.  This gave it dimension I was very happy with the out come.

Thoughts & prayers

I'm going to try to make enough cards to post at lease 5 days so I'm off to a good start here's another card using the Thoughts & prayers stamp set.
Happy Saturday!

Thoughts & Prayers

It's hard to believe time goes by so fast.  I can remember when I was young thinking that time took so long.  Things are getting back to normal around here now that soccer and baseball are done.  We actually had dinner at the table like real families do...lol  With that said I haven't had time to be creative as much as I would like, but last night I did take a few minutes to make this card.  Here is my first attempt with inking directly on the block to create the back ground color.  I have to say I like the way it came out.  I will continue working on this method but I thought I would share my first attempt.
Thanks for stopping in, happy stamping!

Mummy

Here's another trash to treasure.  I made this guy to go along with the Frankenstein I has made before.  This was another very easy project.  I took white card stock and cut random stripes of paper.  I colored the edges of the paper with basic gray.   I adhered the paper to the can with Tombo glue.  I cut 2 1" circles and added them for the eyes.  I hope you can tell he is a mummy.  I showed him to my husband,  he said "the only way I knew it was a mummy was because I had seen the Frankenstein from before".  I looked at him like he was crazy.  So let me know what you think.
